Actor Shakti Anand recently posted a candid selfie from the set of the famous TV show ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi,’ showcasing the lighter side behind the scenes. Despite the show’s intense drama on screen, Shakti’s post highlighted the fun and camaraderie off-camera. The sequel to ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2’ premiered on July 29, 2025, featuring returning leads Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay as Tulsi and Mihir Virani. The second generation characters are portrayed by Rohit Suchanti, Tanisha Mehta, Shagun Sharma, and Aman Gandhi. The original show, which aired in 2008, centered around an ideal daughter-in-law, Tulsi Virani, married to Mihir, the grandson of business magnate Govardhan Virani, with Smriti Irani in the role of Tulsi Virani.
Shakti Anand, who initially worked as a medical examiner in Delhi, landed the role in ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ while playing a blind character in the telefilm ‘Nayan Jyoti.’ He and his wife Sai Deodhar participated in the first season of the celebrity dance show ‘Nach Baliye.’ His roles include Shivam in the serial ‘Godh Bharaai,’ and appearances in ‘Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap,’ ‘SuperCops vs Supervillains,’ ‘Gangaa’ as Shiv, and ‘Tenali Rama’ as Emperor Balakumara. His latest role was as Amber Singh in ‘Channa Mereya,’ and he has reprised his character as Advocate Hemant Virani in the spiritual sequel of ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ since July 2025.
