Actor Sunil Lahiri, known for portraying Lakshman in the popular TV series Ramayan, recently recounted a frightening fan incident from the show’s filming days. Lahiri shared a video on social media where he narrated an unsettling experience involving a person who falsely claimed to be his relative and was later escorted away by security.

Reflecting on the incident, Lahiri mentioned a similar encounter during the Ramayan shoot when a stranger approached him near the studio gate, claiming to be his brother from Bhopal. Despite attempting to meet Lahiri, the individual failed to recognize the actor, leading to a humorous situation.

The actor emphasized the unpredictability of life, stating that strangers can sometimes play unexpected roles akin to relatives. Lahiri advised everyone to take care, stay happy, and healthy, concluding with a heartfelt “Jai Shri Ram.”

The iconic television show Ramayan, featuring Lahiri as Lakshman, Arun Govil as Lord Ram, and other notable actors, gained immense popularity post its original airing in the late 80s. The serial, which aired on Doordarshan in 1987, captivated audiences and garnered a massive fan base during its runtime.
