Actor Vineet Kumar Singh recently discussed the prevalence of Bollywood scripts being written in Roman script despite the movies being in Hindi. He emphasized the importance of receiving his dialogues in Devanagari script to maintain authenticity. While acknowledging that Bollywood films are in Hindi, he highlighted that a significant portion of the work is conducted in English.
Vineet expressed his personal preference for scripts in Devanagari due to the actors speaking in Hindi. He mentioned that although individuals have the freedom to choose their preferred script, aligning the work language with the dialogues enhances the overall production quality.
Notably, Vineet’s stance echoes actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s similar sentiment on the issue. Nawazuddin had previously emphasized the need for Bollywood scripts to be in Devanagari script for better communication and clarity on set. Despite films being in Hindi, he observed that English remains the primary language of communication among various crew members, leading to occasional confusion.
