Actor Vishal Jethwa expressed disappointment as his film “Homebound” did not secure a spot in the final Oscar nominations. Despite feeling heartbroken, he shared that he is proud of the team for making it to the top 15. In a social media post, Vishal emphasized the importance of trying and acknowledged the efforts put in by the entire “Homebound” team.

The actor mentioned that while the Oscar nomination miss shattered their hopes, he believes that true failure lies in not attempting at all. Vishal expressed satisfaction in reaching the top 15 and being associated with the prestigious Oscars. He thanked his colleagues and the entire “Homebound” family for their support and dedication.

Vishal extended his gratitude towards key individuals involved in the project, including Jogi, Neeraj, and Karan. He also expressed love and respect for his co-stars Ishaan, Janhvi, and the entire team of “Homebound.” The actor shared a motivational couplet and credited his Guruji, Shoaib Khan, for instilling valuable life lessons.

Recently, Karan Johar and director Neeraj Ghaywan, the makers of “Homebound,” took to social media to appreciate each other despite the movie missing out on an Oscar nomination. Karan expressed pride in the team and Neeraj, while Neeraj thanked Karan for his unwavering support and described him as a pillar of strength.

“Homebound” features Vishal Jethwa and Ishaan Khatter in lead roles, with Janhvi Kapoor making a special appearance. The film’s cast and crew have shown resilience and gratitude despite the setback of not making it to the Oscars.
