During the protest, Gurfateh shared images showing a large gathering of protestors under trees with a placard saying ‘Long Live the Resistance.’ He also posted pictures of a speaker addressing the crowd and walking alongside actress Pratibha Ranta, emphasizing the need for justice.
In his post, Gurfateh mentioned facing social media backlash and losing followers but highlighted the importance of participating in bringing about change. He praised the energy of the younger generation and emphasized the need for everyone to be part of the movement for change.
Pratibha Ranta also shared moments from the protest on her social media, including a video of the crowded protest venue and an image urging people to break the silence and speak up. Both actors have been actively involved in the entertainment industry, with Gurfateh known for his work in projects like ‘Guilty’ and ‘Class,’ and Pratibha gaining recognition for her role in ‘Laapataa Ladies.’
