Actress Maanvi Gagroo, known for her role as Siddhi Patel in the series “Four More Shots Please,” stresses the importance of storytellers being sensitive and accountable in their portrayal of women on screen. She points out the historical stereotypes surrounding female characters in media, emphasizing the need for a shift in mindset.

Maanvi highlights the traditional portrayal of women who drink as negative or rebellious characters who later transform into more socially acceptable personas. She urges filmmakers to be mindful of the impact of their character representations, particularly when it comes to female roles.

Addressing the need for change in media narratives, Maanvi emphasizes the reciprocal relationship between art and reality. She advocates for a more nuanced and responsible approach to storytelling, acknowledging the influence of media on societal perceptions and behaviors.

In a previous interview, Maanvi questioned the double standards applied to women’s choices compared to men’s actions, calling for equal treatment and fair judgment across genders. She challenges the societal norms that scrutinize women’s behaviors while giving men a pass for similar or even more egregious actions.

The latest season of “Four More Shots Please,” which premiered on December 19th and concludes the series, has garnered positive feedback from both critics and audiences. The show features a talented cast including Maanvi Gagroo, Bani J, Kriti Kulhari, Sayani Gupta, Prateik Smita Patil, Dino Morea, and others.
