Actress Nithya Menen recently shared her sentiments on completing 15 years of the Telugu film ‘Ala Modalaindi’. Describing the movie’s title meaning as ‘And so, it began’, she reminisced about the challenges faced during its making. Menen highlighted the unconventional approach taken in creating a romantic comedy, a genre relatively unexplored in Telugu cinema at that time.
Recalling the early days of filming, Menen fondly remembered casual moments spent with her co-star @nandureddyy. She mentioned how they frequented an Irani Chai joint post-shoots, enjoying Subway sandwiches for lunch daily. The actress emphasized the spontaneity and freedom they experienced while filming, often improvising scenes on the spot and rewriting dialogues just before shooting.
Reflecting on the unexpected turn her career took post ‘Ala Modalaindi’, Menen shared a moment when a friend predicted her future fame. She recollected a simple lunch outing at a Subway outlet before a shoot, where her friend remarked on her future recognition. Menen expressed her initial disbelief at the idea of being a public figure but acknowledged how the film altered her trajectory, marking a significant shift in her life and career.
