Actress Patralekhaa has ventured into production with her film Toaster. In a conversation, she expressed how her new role as a producer kept her occupied, lessening the impact of postpartum experiences. Patralekhaa shared, “I am really happy about it. There’s something called postpartum that happens to women, not necessarily to everyone and motherhood can feel like a black hole at times. But because of Toaster and Raj, and I am glad the universe supported me this way, I didn’t feel it as much.”
The actress, who recently welcomed a baby girl, credited her work for helping her become a more composed mother to her daughter Parvati. She mentioned, “I feel like I am a better mother to Parvati now. So thankfully, it’s a good space to be in.”
Patralekhaa discussed her debut as a producer, stating, “Actually, Raj (Rajkummar) and myself were waiting to venture into production for quite some time now. But then COVID happened and other things here and there.” She highlighted the uniqueness of Toaster, a comedy film, emphasizing the challenges of the genre. She expressed, “But I am glad we chose this because the most difficult thing is to make people laugh, and hopefully Toaster will do that.”
The movie Toaster features Rajkummar Rao, Sanya Malhotra, and Archana Puran Singh in lead roles, directed by Viveck Daschaudhary, and was released on April 15.
