On World Book Day, actress Rasika Dugal expressed her enthusiasm for reading by sharing her favorite books on Instagram. She mentioned “Dreamcount” as a gem she discovered with margin notes, and praised the gender-sensitive illustrations in “We the Citizens” by Khyati Pathak, Pranay Kotas, and Anupam Manur. Additionally, she highlighted the beauty and relatability of “The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny” by Kiran Desai.

World Book Day, an annual event by UNESCO to promote reading and publishing, was celebrated recently. Apart from her reading interests, Rasika Dugal is set to appear in the upcoming movie ‘Mirzapur-The Movie,’ scheduled for release on September 4. The movie is a continuation of the popular series “Mirzapur,” focusing on the crime boss and businessman Akhandanand “Kaleen” Tripathi in Uttar Pradesh.

In the first season of “Mirzapur,” Rasika Dugal was part of the main cast alongside other talented actors. The second season saw some cast changes and additions, with the upcoming movie adaptation featuring a mix of returning and new actors. Rasika Dugal was previously seen in the black comedy film “Lord Curzon Ki Haveli” alongside Arjun Mathur and Zoha Rahman, which premiered at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.
