Adani Electricity has advised consumers to be mindful of their electricity usage during the summer season to avoid higher bills. The company highlighted that increased reliance on cooling appliances like air conditioners and fans can push consumers into higher tariff slabs. By following energy-saving tips and making small changes, consumers can not only save on bills but also contribute to environmental sustainability.
The company recommended setting air conditioner temperatures at around 24 degrees Celsius and utilizing ceiling fans for better cooling efficiency. Additionally, they suggested using energy-efficient appliances and programmable thermostats to regulate electricity consumption based on occupancy. Adani Electricity also emphasized the importance of natural ventilation by opening windows during cooler times of the day for cross-ventilation.
To further reduce electricity consumption, consumers were advised to block direct sunlight with curtains or blinds during peak heat hours and upgrade to appliances with higher energy-efficiency ratings. The company also pointed out the significance of unplugging electronic devices and chargers when not in use to prevent “phantom” energy usage. Efficient management of electricity consumption, as per an Adani Electricity spokesperson, can lead to cost savings and a positive environmental impact.
