Adani Energy Solutions Limited shared its Q3 FY26 operational highlights, securing a significant transmission project valued at approximately Rs 18,000 crore. The project, named KPS III (Khavda South Olpad) HVDC, aims to facilitate the evacuation of 2,500 MW of renewable energy from Gujarat’s Khavda Renewable Energy Park to Olpad near Surat, enhancing India’s renewable energy transmission infrastructure.
In addition to this project, AESL successfully completed the North Karanpura Transmission Line project during the quarter, expanding its total transmission network to 27,901 circuit kilometres and its transformation capacity to 1,18,175 MVA. The company’s transmission order book has now reached Rs 77,787 crore, as per its stock exchange filing.
AESL also reported improved operational efficiency in its distribution business, with distribution losses dropping to 4.22 per cent in YTD FY26 from 4.91 per cent in the previous fiscal year. The company maintained high supply reliability, with an Average Supply Availability Index of 99.998 per cent, while system reliability parameters like SAIDI, SAIFI, and CAIDI showed positive trends.
During the quarter, total electricity units sold in the Mumbai distribution circle slightly decreased to 2,487 million units compared to the same period last year. Despite this, collection efficiency remained strong at 101.75 per cent, according to the stock exchange data. Mumbai Utilities Limited witnessed a significant 57 per cent YoY growth in unit sales, reaching 371 million units.
AESL made notable progress in its smart metering business, installing 18.88 lakh new smart meters in Q3 FY26, bringing the total installed base to 92.5 lakh meters. The company is on track to exceed its target of installing one crore smart meters by the end of FY26. The smart metering order book stands at 2.46 crore meters, with a revenue potential of Rs 29,519 crore, and an estimated national market opportunity of 103 million smart meters.
The company recently reported a 16 per cent YoY growth in total income to Rs 13,793 crore in H1 FY26 and a 6 per cent YoY increase to Rs 6,767 crore in Q2 FY26, driven by stable operating performance and SCA income from higher capex.
