Adani Energy Solutions Limited saw a significant increase in its first-quarter earnings for FY27, with its consolidated net profit more than doubling, driven by robust revenue growth in its transmission business. The company disclosed a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,149 crore for the quarter ending June 30, a substantial rise from Rs 513 crore in the same period last year, as per its stock exchange filing. Consolidated revenue from operations also surged by 42.4% year-on-year to Rs 9,711 crore from Rs 6,819 crore in the previous year.
Operating performance remained strong in the quarter, with Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) climbing by 30% to Rs 3,008 crore from Rs 2,314 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. The transmission business emerged as the primary growth driver, with revenue soaring by 52% year-on-year to Rs 3,335 crore. Additionally, transmission earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) increased by 43% to Rs 1,328 crore, supported by improved operational performance.
During the quarter, the distribution business also displayed steady growth, with revenue from this segment rising by 5% year-on-year to Rs 3,520 crore, while distribution EBIT grew by 18% to Rs 357 crore. Adani Energy Solutions’ revenue growth was underpinned by strong performances in its core businesses, with the transmission segment recording a 52% increase, distribution growing by 47%, smart metering surging by 210%, and the energy solutions platform registering an 812% rise.
In the previous quarter (Q4 FY26), AESL reported a robust 32% adjusted net profit growth year-on-year, reaching Rs 2,393 crore in FY26, supported by double-digit EBITDA growth and stable depreciation during the year. EBITDA surged by 12.7% YoY to a record Rs 8,726 crore in the quarter, driven by strong growth in the transmission and smart metering segments, along with consistent performance in the distribution business, as stated by the Adani Group company in an exchange filing on April 23.
