Adani Foundation, along with Adani Electricity, marked National Girl Child Day on January 24 with students from Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) schools in Mumbai. This initiative was part of the Project Utthan, a flagship CSR program. The collaborative effort aimed to promote early empowerment and equality among students in Classes 1 to 4.

The program, supported by the BMC, focused on early empowerment, safety, and equality, recognizing the importance of laying a strong foundation for a just society. It went beyond traditional celebrations by incorporating experiential learning activities like role-playing and problem-solving to empower girls as confident decision-makers. Additionally, boys were engaged as allies to reinforce values of empathy and shared responsibility.

Aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 and the NIPUN Bharat Mission, this collaboration underscores a commitment to bridging learning gaps and nurturing a generation of socially aware and empowered young citizens. In Mumbai, Adani Foundation, Adani Electricity, and BMC Education Department have extended Project Utthan to all 947 BMC primary schools, benefiting 1.48 lakh students across 25 wards and eight mediums.
