The Adani Foundation has joined hands with the Andhra Pradesh government’s P4 initiative in Kuppam Mandal to assist economically vulnerable families called Bangaru Kutumbams. This partnership aims to enhance household incomes by offering livelihood assets, financial literacy, and better access to government welfare schemes. The program, led by Andhra Pradesh Mahila Abhivruddhi Society, will cover all 29 Gram Panchayats and urban clusters in the mandal.
Beneficiary families under this initiative will receive livelihood assets tailored to their skills and local market demands, such as sewing machines, welding kits, livestock, and more. Trained community mentors, known as Bangaru Mitras, will guide families in developing business plans, improving financial literacy, and accessing welfare schemes. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu recently distributed sewing machines, welding kits, and embroidery machines to selected families during his visit to Kuppam.
The initiative aligns with the state’s P4 Zero Poverty Initiative and focuses on creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for underprivileged households. Adani Foundation Chairperson Dr. Priti Adani emphasized the importance of empowering families to strengthen their incomes and self-reliance, enabling them to build a better future for generations to come. The partnership with the Andhra Pradesh government reflects a shared commitment to supporting Bangaru Kutumbams in becoming more self-reliant.
