Adani Group aims to provide more opportunities to students from smaller towns, citing their strong drive and potential for the company’s growth, stated Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and SEZ Limited. Speaking at an event in New Delhi, he highlighted the group’s core focus on energy utilities, logistics, and infrastructure sectors. Adani emphasized the significance of energy as a major opportunity and the group’s commitment to investing in greenfield projects.
Karan Adani revealed that the organization is undergoing significant changes and plans to invest Rs 2 lakh crore annually in new projects. He stressed the importance of speed and scalability for the company’s expansion. Adani mentioned the empowerment of employees at lower levels by granting them decision-making authority, aiming to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
The Adani Group operates the entire port ecosystem internally, including equipment operators and maintenance teams. Karan Adani addressed the shortage of skilled manpower in India despite its large population, emphasizing the group’s focus on local hiring and skill development for timely project completion and creating job opportunities for local youth. He also outlined the company’s goal of reducing the average employee age and increasing female workforce participation.
