Adani Defence and Aerospace Director Jeet Adani highlighted Vidarbha’s significance in India’s energy landscape, stating that the Adani Group’s involvement in the region is not just temporary but long-lasting. Speaking at ‘Advantage Vidarbha 2026,’ Jeet Adani outlined the group’s commitment to enhancing energy security, creating quality employment opportunities, uplifting communities, and bolstering India’s economic framework.
The Adani Group’s investments in Vidarbha are aligned with key national priorities, including advancing India’s clean energy trajectory, establishing integrated industrial and logistics ecosystems, and fostering inclusive growth for local communities and youth. Notably, the group operates Maharashtra’s largest 3,300 MW supercritical power plant in Tiroda, emphasizing efficiency and environmental responsibility.
Furthermore, Adani’s initiatives encompass a 25-year electricity supply agreement ensuring 6,600 MW of reliable power for Maharashtra, combining solar and thermal sources to support the state’s industries and digital economy. The group’s ambitious Integrated Coal Gasification and Downstream Derivatives Complex project in Linga, Kalmeshwar, with an investment of Rs 70,000 crore, aims to create jobs, enhance chemical manufacturing capabilities, and promote energy independence.
In addition to its industrial ventures, the Adani Group is enhancing Vidarbha’s position as a logistics hub through strategic investments, such as a 75-acre ICD at Borkhedi and the acquisition of border check posts across Maharashtra. These assets play a crucial role in reducing freight expenses, boosting exports, and enhancing global competitiveness for numerous businesses, thereby contributing to economic growth in the region.
The group’s focus on aviation and defense is evident through the expansion of its MRO complex at MIHAN in Nagpur, positioning the city as a prominent international center for aircraft maintenance and repair. Moreover, the Adani Foundation’s initiatives in healthcare, education, and women’s empowerment underscore a commitment to holistic growth driven by dignity, inclusivity, and compassion. Jeet Adani envisions Vidarbha not just as a regional entity but as a key player shaping India’s growth narrative for years to come.
