Adani Sportsline has announced the opening of registrations for the 10th edition of the Ahmedabad Marathon scheduled for November 29. This announcement coincides with Kargil Vijay Diwas, highlighting the marathon’s theme of #Run4OurSoldiers, honoring India’s Armed Forces’ bravery and sacrifice. The marathon has become a prominent road-running event in India, attracting various participants over the years.
The Adani Ahmedabad Marathon, known for promoting fitness, community spirit, and national pride, has seen significant growth in participation. With over 24,000 runners in the previous edition, it has solidified its position as one of the country’s top road races. The event, now a community initiative, aims to encourage healthier lifestyles and sports engagement among individuals and families.
Starting from the Sabarmati Riverfront Sports Park, the 10th edition will follow a route passing through Ahmedabad’s key landmarks along the Sabarmati Riverfront. Participants can choose from four race categories: full marathon (42.195 km), half marathon (21.097 km), 10 km, and 5 km. Registrations are currently open for interested runners.
Sanjay Adesara, Chief Business Officer of Adani Sportsline, emphasized the significance of the 10th edition in fostering a vibrant running culture in Gujarat. He highlighted the marathon’s evolution from a local running initiative to a major community sporting event.
