Aditya Raj Singh Chahal, Vipin Raghuvanshi, and Santosh Kumar are tied for the lead after Round One of the PGTI NexGen 2026 at the Aravalli Golf Club in Faridabad. They each scored three-under 69 to hold the joint lead in the season-opener. Following closely are Ramesh Kumar, Divesh Rana, Lakshya Nagar, and Pranav Kaul, one shot behind in tied fourth position.

Aditya Raj Singh Chahal recorded an eagle, four birdies, and three bogeys, while Vipin Raghuvanshi made an eagle, two birdies, and a bogey. Santosh Kumar managed an eagle, three birdies, and two bogeys at the INR 25 lakh event. The tournament features a field of 72 players, with the top 35 players and ties set to make the cut after Round Two on Wednesday.

The PGTI launched the NexGen Tour last year to provide equal opportunities to Indian professional golfers and enhance the sport’s competitiveness. By expanding golf to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in India, the NexGen aims to increase the game’s popularity within the country. Participants from the 2026 PGTI Qualifying School are eligible to compete on the NexGen Tour this year, with the Order of Merit winner earning a spot on the main tour for the 2027 season.

The NexGen 2026 season kicked off at the Aravalli Golf Club in Faridabad, with 72 players in the season-opener. The upcoming events include the DP World PGTI NexGen Phillaur Open 2026 at Ranjitgarh Golf Club from March 3–5, followed by tournaments at Lucknow Golf Club (March 10–12), Golden Greens Golf & Country Club, Gurugram (March 17–19), and Patna Golf Club (March 24–26). Each NexGen event this season will offer a prize purse of INR 25 lakh.
