Actor-director-writer Adivi Sesh, gearing up for his film ‘Dacoit,’ highlighted the historical success of non-Hindi film industries in India. He mentioned that the pandemic has boosted interest in regional cinema.

Sesh praised the quality of work in Bengali, Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu films, emphasizing the newfound popularity of films from all regions. He noted that the pandemic-induced trend of watching films in different languages has led to a more inclusive film culture.

Discussing Telugu cinema, Sesh pointed out its emotional depth and unique production model. He explained that individual producers, often with personal stakes in the projects, drive Telugu films, setting them apart from corporately-backed productions in other industries.
