Admiral Arun Prakash, a former Chief of the Naval Staff, expressed frustration over the scheduling problem of his and his wife’s visits to election offices in Goa. Despite multiple visits by the BLO to their home, the SIR forms could not be completed to the satisfaction of the election panel.

Prakash mentioned that he and his wife would adhere to the EC notices to appear in the election office. However, he questioned why the BLO, after three home visits, did not request the necessary information, leading to separate appearances for him and his wife at offices 18 km apart.

The former Navy chief emphasized that he had never sought special privileges post-retirement. He highlighted the inconvenience of being summoned to two different election offices on separate dates, despite their advanced age, as a citizen-friendly process turned burdensome for them.
