African leaders, business figures, and global investors convened in Kigali for the Africa CEO Forum 2026. The two-day event, hosted by Jeune Afrique Media Group and the International Finance Corporation, focuses on the theme “Scale or Fail: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership.”

During the opening ceremony, Rwandan President Paul Kagame emphasized Africa’s need to safeguard its interests despite external influences. Ivory Coast Prime Minister Robert Beugre Mambe also participated in the program.

Africa CEO Forum President Amir Ben Yahmed highlighted the importance of shared ownership and trust for Africa’s growth. Rwanda Development Board CEO Jean-Guy Afrika pointed out the continent’s potential for economic transformation through demographic growth and expanding markets.

The Africa CEO Forum serves as a key platform for the African private sector, fostering discussions on private enterprise’s role in driving the continent’s progress. With over 2,000 participants from 75+ countries, this year’s forum urges leaders to invest, share risks, and establish transnational ownership structures for Africa’s prosperity.
