The AIADMK criticized the ruling Tamil Nadu government, accusing Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay of failing in governance and diverting attention from administrative shortcomings by targeting opposition parties. Vijay had alleged that the AIADMK and DMK were collaborating despite being political rivals, calling them jointly responsible for misgovernance and corruption. In response, the AIADMK refuted the claims, highlighting its historical political opposition to the DMK and questioning Vijay’s public engagement since forming his party two years ago.
The AIADMK also accused the Tamil Nadu government of political opportunism in coming to power by aligning with parties previously associated with the DMK-led alliance. It raised concerns over the state’s economic setbacks, including reports of a significant Hyundai investment withdrawal, challenging Vijay to address industrial investment issues. Additionally, the AIADMK criticized the government for neglecting public issues like power cuts, law and order, and the hardships faced by the populace, urging the Chief Minister to prioritize governance over baseless accusations against the opposition.
