AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami slammed the new Tamil Nadu government for power outages affecting households and industries. He highlighted that the state faces increased electricity demand during summers due to domestic and commercial usage. Palaniswami praised the AIADMK’s past efforts in ensuring uninterrupted power supply during high-demand periods.

The former Chief Minister mentioned that Tamil Nadu, under the AIADMK, overcame severe power shortages to become a surplus state. Palaniswami credited the previous government’s proactive measures in expanding power sources like wind, solar, and thermal energy. He criticized the current administration for its alleged lack of planning, leading to widespread power cuts and disruptions.

Palaniswami emphasized that the ongoing power shortages have severely impacted daily life, causing unrest among residents. He cited instances of protests in areas like Thandaiyarpet due to frequent power interruptions. The AIADMK leader urged the new government to take immediate steps to address the electricity crisis and support all affected sectors.
