Airtel broadband users in specific sectors of Noida have been enduring daily outages lasting 6-7 hours for over a month. Residents in Sector 143 express frustration over the frequent disruptions, considering switching to alternative providers due to the unresolved issues. The outages, occurring since February, have severely impacted daily routines, with users like Deb from Gulshan Ikebana society highlighting the prolonged internet downtime.
The service interruptions persisted on consecutive days this week, reportedly due to ongoing sewer construction work by the Noida Authority causing damage to Airtel cables. Despite these challenges, both Airtel and the Noida Authority have not responded to queries regarding the situation. Rashmi, a resident dependent on Wi-Fi for work, emphasized the disturbance caused by the outages, disrupting her work-from-home setup and prompting considerations to switch to Reliance Jio for a more reliable connection.
The lack of communication and resolution between Airtel and the Noida Authority has left users like Rashmi questioning the service reliability and urging for a collaborative effort to ensure uninterrupted connectivity. This incident follows a similar outage in Delhi and surrounding areas last year, where Airtel users faced connectivity issues, including the inability to make calls or access the internet. The company acknowledged the problem and assured customers of ongoing efforts to restore full service, expressing regret for any inconvenience caused.
