Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn recently commemorated 21 years since the release of the film Khakee by sharing a nostalgic still from the movie on social media. The image posted by Devgn showcases two contrasting moments from the 2004 action drama. In one frame, he is seen in a lighter scene with co-star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, while the other captures a more intense moment with Akshay Kumar, who portrayed a determined police officer in the film. Devgn captioned the post with a famous dialogue from the movie, “Ladki ka chakkar Raju bhaiya?” along with the hashtag #21YearsOfKhakhee.
Marking its release in January 2004, Khakee was directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Keshu Ramsay. The movie featured a stellar cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Tusshar Kapoor. Amitabh Bachchan played a senior police officer, Akshay Kumar depicted a no-nonsense cop, and Ajay Devgn portrayed a character that transitioned from antagonist to grey, earning critical acclaim for his performance. Besides its captivating storyline, Khakee is also remembered for its iconic music, with the track “Dil Dooba” sung by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal remaining a favorite among audiences even years after its release.
