National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met with Saudi National Security Adviser Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban to discuss bilateral cooperation and shared interests. The discussions covered various regional and mutual issues. Ajit Doval’s visit to Riyadh was marked by a productive meeting with Saudi officials and a focus on ongoing security cooperation talks.
Doval’s visit follows the recent third meeting of the Security Working Group between India and Saudi Arabia in Riyadh. Both nations emphasized enhancing cooperation to address terrorism challenges, including extremism, radicalization, and financing of terrorism. Measures to strengthen legal, judicial, and law enforcement cooperation were also deliberated upon during the visit.
India and Saudi Arabia reiterated their joint condemnation of terrorism in all forms, including specific terrorist attacks in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, and near Red Fort, New Delhi. The Security Working Group meeting, co-chaired by officials from both countries, concluded with plans for the next meeting to be held in India at a later date.
