National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met with Vietnam’s President To Lam to discuss enhancing the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. The meeting included talks on various aspects of cooperation between India and Vietnam. President To Lam expressed anticipation for his upcoming discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit.
President To Lam’s three-day State Visit to India commenced with a warm welcome from Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai. The Ministry of External Affairs highlighted that this visit is expected to bolster the existing bilateral relations between India and Vietnam. President To Lam’s visit coincides with the 10th anniversary of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations.
President To Lam, also the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, is on his first visit to India since assuming the presidency. The visit is aimed at strengthening ties and exploring new avenues of cooperation between the two countries. President To Lam is scheduled to engage in discussions with various Indian leaders, including Prime Minister Modi and President Droupadi Murmu.
