Akhilesh Yadav, the Samajwadi Party chief, met with Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, the Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath, in Lucknow for blessings and spiritual guidance. Yadav expressed his reverence for the seer and the importance of seeking his blessings. He highlighted the impact of social media on public discourse, noting the tendency to politicize various issues online.
Yadav emphasized the significance of seeking blessings from spiritual leaders before embarking on positive endeavors. He also discussed the Samajwadi Party’s initiatives for cow welfare, mentioning the establishment of a cow milk plant in Kannauj during their government’s tenure. Yadav criticized the current administration for allegedly shutting down the dairy facility in Kannauj, despite its modern facilities.
Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati confirmed Yadav’s visit and shared that their conversation revolved around spiritual matters and memories of the late SP leader Mulayam Singh Yadav. The meeting occurred amidst the Shankaracharya’s announcement of an 81-day statewide march for cow protection in Uttar Pradesh, aiming to promote awareness and advocate for the cow’s recognition as the ‘national mother.’
