Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is set to receive a substantial Rs. 35-40 crore for his 18 to 22-day shoot in the upcoming film “Golmaal 5”. This amount surpasses the upfront fees of lead actor Ajay Devgn, as Kumar is on a profit-sharing arrangement. Director Rohit Shetty had announced the film on his birthday in March, with Kumar’s involvement as a “surprise package” revealed later.
Ajay Devgn recently confirmed the commencement of the new shoot schedule for “Golmaal 5” on April 27. He shared a fun video from the sets in Ooty featuring the ensemble cast including Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Shreyas Talpade, and Kunal Kemmu. The Golmaal film series, based on Harsh Shivsharan’s play, has seen multiple successful sequels since its inception.
Apart from his role in “Golmaal 5”, Akshay Kumar also teased his fans with a glimpse of his upcoming project “Welcome To The Jungle” on May 13. Meanwhile, director Rohit Shetty recreated a nostalgic scene from the 2006 hit ‘Golmaal: Fun Unlimited’ with actors Arshad Warsi and Sharman Joshi on May 14. The recreated scene pays homage to the iconic race car sequence from the earlier film.
