Alana King has secured the top position in the ICC Women’s ODI bowling rankings after an outstanding performance on Australia women’s tour of the Caribbean. During a match in St Kitts, King claimed a remarkable five-wicket haul with figures of 5-19 in 10 overs, including 44 dot balls, contributing significantly to Australia’s nine-wicket victory and 3-0 series sweep.

Following a successful home series against South Africa, New Zealand players saw improvements in the batting rankings. Maddy Green achieved a career-high ranking, entering the top 10, while Melie Kerr’s unbeaten 179 runs at the Basin Reserve propelled her to new heights in the rankings, showcasing her exceptional form and all-round capabilities.

Melie Kerr’s recent performances have been exceptional across formats, with notable contributions both with the bat and ball. Her remarkable consistency, including a record-setting 7 for 34 in a recent match, has elevated her to the top spot in the ICC Women’s T20I all-rounder rankings and has also boosted her position in the ODI all-rounder list, surpassing Marizanne Kapp.

The latest rankings update also saw advancements for South African players like Chloe Tryon and Sune Luus in the all-rounder rankings, reflecting a period of standout individual displays, particularly from Australia’s bowling unit and New Zealand’s versatile players.
