The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has strongly condemned the aggression by the US and Israel against Iran. AIMPLB appealed to Indian leadership, the UN, and the international community to take immediate action to halt the aggression and prevent further escalation. The Board expressed concern over the impact of the conflict on global stability and emphasized the need for diplomatic intervention to avoid a wider war.
The statement issued by AIMPLB Spokesperson S.Q.R. Ilyas criticized the termination of negotiations between Iran and the United States, followed by a joint attack with Israel. Ilyas highlighted the need for a ceasefire and urged the UN and international community to prevent the situation from deteriorating into a devastating war. He also lamented the lack of official condolences from Indian authorities on the passing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.
Ilyas underscored the violation of international law in targeting a sovereign country’s central leadership during wartime and emphasized the potential repercussions of a prolonged conflict. He warned that without immediate diplomatic efforts, the crisis could escalate into a broader global conflict, impacting not only the region but also the global economy. The Board called for a balanced and dignified mediatory role to address the escalating tensions effectively.
