In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Allahabad High Court has directed the transfer of 14 judicial officers, among them Sambhal Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Vibhanshu Sudheer. Aditya Singh, previously a Civil Judge, Senior Division in Sambhal, has been appointed as the new CJM of Sambhal, replacing Sudheer.

Sudheer has now been reassigned as Civil Judge, Senior Division in Sultanpur. The transfer follows Sudheer’s directive on January 19 to the Sambhal police to file an FIR against the then Circle Officer Anuj Chaudhary and the Station House Officer regarding a youth’s shooting during the Sambhal violence of November 2024.

The Sambhal police had expressed their intention to challenge the CJM court’s order by approaching the Allahabad High Court. The reshuffle also includes the appointment of Harendra Nath as Additional District and Sessions Judge/Special Judge in the exclusive POCSO court in Kannauj, replacing Alaka Yadav, who is now transferred to Gonda.

Vikas, the Special Judge and Additional District and Sessions Judge in Gonda, has been reassigned as Additional District and Sessions Judge (Fast Track Court) in Gonda to handle cases involving crimes against women. The transfers are part of a routine administrative process by the Allahabad High Court to enhance judicial operations in Uttar Pradesh.
