Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pichai expressed admiration for India’s rapid transformation and highlighted the significant impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on improving lives. Speaking at the ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026,’ Pichai mentioned initiatives like AI-powered forecasts for farmers to protect their livelihoods.

He stressed the importance of collaborative efforts to fully leverage AI’s benefits, emphasizing its potential to enhance billions of lives. Pichai cited examples of AI advancements aiding in predicting protein structures and supporting healthcare, startups, and agriculture in India.

Google is investing in establishing a comprehensive AI hub in India as part of a $15 billion infrastructure initiative. Pichai urged for increased investments in AI research and widespread adoption across various sectors to drive progress and innovation.

The ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026’ is currently ongoing in New Delhi, bringing together global policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators to discuss enhancing cooperation in artificial intelligence. With participation from over 110 countries and 30 international organizations, the summit aims to facilitate discussions on AI advancements.
