Pilgrims on the Amarnath Yatra praised the security arrangements, especially the Indian Army and CRPF for setting up a selfie point at the Lamber Yatra Camp in Banihal. The initiative has become popular among devotees, who enjoy taking selfies and showing support for the Army. One pilgrim mentioned that the Yatra feels incomplete without the Army’s presence.
Another long-time pilgrim, with 15 years of experience, commended the security measures and facilities provided during the pilgrimage. Feeling secure due to the Army’s presence, the pilgrim expressed satisfaction with the journey and the services offered. The selfie point initiative was highlighted as a reminder of the Army’s efforts to ensure safety for all participants.
Officials noted that the selfie point at the Lamber Yatra Camp was established to engage with pilgrims and emphasize the security forces’ role in ensuring a safe pilgrimage. The ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra has seen a significant number of devotees, with over 32,000 individuals having already visited the holy cave in the past two days.
Weather conditions along the Pahalgam and Baltal routes have been favorable, facilitating the smooth movement of pilgrims. Thousands of devotees are staying at various transit camps en route to the holy cave, with elaborate arrangements in place for their comfort and security. Security measures have been intensified along both routes to safeguard the pilgrims and maintain a peaceful pilgrimage experience.
