Union Home Minister Amit Shah participated in the President’s Colour Award Ceremony of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. He commended the force for its dedicated service and the trust it has gained from the public over the past two decades.
During the event, Amit Shah inspected the parade and saluted the NDRF personnel, recognizing their role in disaster response, rescue missions, and humanitarian aid nationwide. Senior NDRF officials were also in attendance.
In his address, the Home Minister emphasized the significance of the President’s Colour bestowed upon the NDRF, symbolizing the collective commitment, bravery, and devotion of all force members. He lauded the force for upholding this honor through their unwavering service spanning two decades.
Amit Shah praised the NDRF for its humanitarian endeavors, noting that the force has not only won the hearts of the people but also their unwavering trust in times of calamity. He highlighted the force’s efforts in saving both human lives and animals during crises, aiming to minimize loss of life and property.
Expressing confidence in the NDRF’s capabilities, Amit Shah affirmed that the force, under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, would persist in safeguarding the nation from diverse disasters. He underscored the government’s commitment to achieving zero casualties by enhancing disaster preparedness and response mechanisms.
