Union Home Minister Amit Shah recognized police officers in Telangana for their efforts in eliminating Left-Wing Extremism, making the state LWE-free. The felicitation ceremony in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, acknowledged the significant contributions of senior Telangana Police officials in combating Maoist activities.
Among those honored were Telangana Director General of Police C.V. Anand, State Security Advisor B. Shivadhar Reddy, and other key officers who played crucial roles in suppressing LWE. Amit Shah commended their dedication and exceptional service in the fight against Left-Wing Extremism.
During the event, Amit Shah reiterated the government’s commitment to eradicating LWE nationwide and creating a society free from such extremism. He announced a target date of March 31, 2026, for the complete elimination of LWE from the country, emphasizing the importance of a clear vision and strategy in achieving this goal.
The Home Minister highlighted the historic milestone of Chhattisgarh being declared Naxal-free, marking a significant achievement in the country’s battle against Left-Wing Extremism. He praised the sacrifices made by security personnel from various states and emphasized the collective efforts that led to this accomplishment.
