Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated hostel facilities for boys and girls at the Maa Umiya Dham campus in Ahmedabad. The hostel complex, managed by Shri Umiya Mataji Sansthan of Unjha, can accommodate around 1,600 students. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Cabinet Minister Rushikesh Patel were present at the inauguration ceremony.
Extending his wishes to the Patidar community, Amit Shah praised the community’s efforts in establishing modern educational facilities. He highlighted the remarkable progress achieved by the Patidar community in Gujarat, emphasizing their significant contributions to the state’s growth. Shah also commended the community’s values of sacrifice, hard work, and patriotism.
Amit Shah mentioned the development of a Demography Change Commission to address population ratio changes. He credited the BJP governance for transformative changes in the country, including advancements in the economy and internal security. Chief Minister Patel expressed optimism that the hostel at Umiya Dham Sola would inspire society towards progress.
Patel acknowledged the importance of education for societal progress, echoing PM Modi’s emphasis on education. He praised the Patidar community for preserving traditions while embracing education and modernity. Patel described the Umiya Dham campus as a blend of faith, education, and social infrastructure, symbolizing transformative change in education.
During the event, tributes were paid to Veer Savarkar on his birth anniversary. Chief Minister Patel highlighted Savarkar’s contributions to cultural nationalism and modernity. He also lauded PM Modi’s efforts in promoting national interest and cultural pride. Patel recognized Amit Shah’s role in strengthening internal security and national unity.
