Union Home Minister Amit Shah honored revolutionary freedom fighter Sukhdev Thapar on his birth anniversary, praising his bravery and dedication to India’s independence struggle. Shah highlighted Sukhdev’s role in seeking justice for Lala Lajpat Rai alongside Bhagat Singh and Rajguru.
Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister, also paid respects to Sukhdev Thapar, acknowledging his contributions to the nation’s freedom movement. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lauded Sukhdev’s sacrifices and unwavering patriotism in safeguarding India’s honor and freedom.
Sukhdev Thapar, born on May 15, 1907, was a prominent figure in India’s fight for independence, known for his strategic involvement with the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association. Alongside Bhagat Singh and Rajguru, Sukhdev’s actions inspired many to join the struggle against British rule.
The execution of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev on March 23, 1931, marked a significant moment in India’s quest for freedom. Their martyrdom symbolizes patriotism and sacrifice, commemorated annually on Shaheed Diwas to honor their legacy of courage and devotion to the nation.
