Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah visited Gujarat and participated in an event at the Sastu Sahitya Mudranalaya Trust in Ahmedabad. During the ceremony, Shah unveiled the ‘Adi Shankaracharya Samagra Granthavali’, a comprehensive collection edited by Sanskrit scholar Gautam Patel. He emphasized that Shankaracharya’s writings offer guidance not only on religious matters but also on logic and philosophy.
At the book launch, Shah highlighted the significance of punctuality and commitment in public and institutional work. He expressed pride in the timely completion of the trust’s library project, emphasizing the joy and impact of meeting deadlines. Reflecting on Adi Shankaracharya’s teachings, Shah emphasized the universal nature of knowledge, stating that knowledge acquisition transcends language barriers.
Shah praised Gautam Patel’s work, stating that the newly released Granthavali and the library would serve as enduring knowledge resources for future generations. He also paid tribute to Bhikshu Akhandananda, the founder of the Sastu Sahitya Press, recognizing his contributions to Gujarat’s literary and cultural advancement. The event, attended by notable writers and dignitaries, concluded with Shah underscoring the importance of preserving India’s literary and cultural heritage.
