Union Home Minister Amit Shah pledged to eradicate the practices of ‘Love Jihad’ and ‘multiple marriages’ in West Bengal if the BJP wins power in the upcoming Assembly polls. Shah emphasized the enforcement of the Uniform Civil Code to address these issues during a campaign rally in Malda district.
Shah also issued a stern warning to those involved in corruption cases under the Trinamool Congress government in the state over the past 15 years. He assured that once the new government is formed, all individuals engaged in corrupt activities will face legal consequences.
Furthermore, Shah cautioned anti-social elements associated with the Trinamool Congress against disrupting the polling processes on April 23 and April 29. He emphasized that any attempts to interfere with the voting procedures will be met with severe repercussions.
The Union Home Minister emphasized that the construction of a Babri mosque in West Bengal, as envisioned by a former Trinamool Congress legislator, will not materialize. Shah drew parallels between historical events and reiterated that the construction of the Babri Mosque will not occur in India.
Shah highlighted the BJP’s commitment to combatting terrorism, Left-wing extremism, and illegal infiltration in West Bengal and across the country.
