Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu revealed that the state government targets nurturing five lakh women as entrepreneurs. Already, one lakh women have transitioned into entrepreneurs within a year, with a vision to reach six lakh women entrepreneurs, the highest in the country.
During the International Women’s Day celebrations at the Amaravati Parade Grounds, the Chief Minister emphasized the goal of having one MSME from every household, with half of them being led by women. He unveiled the ‘Swayam AP’ logo to promote products from self-help groups.
At the event, five exceptional women entrepreneurs were honored, and a substantial sum of Rs 10,100 crore in subsidized loans was distributed, benefiting 6,81,506 women across various sectors. Chandrababu Naidu extended his wishes to women on International Women’s Day, acknowledging their hard work, love, and sacrifices.
Highlighting the significant role of women in governance, the Chief Minister praised the efficient work of the three women ministers in the state Cabinet. He also noted the President of India and the Union Finance Minister as exemplary women leaders in the country.
