Chandrababu Naidu praised the dedication of Gramin Dak Sevaks, noting their irreplaceable role despite technological advancements. He commended their extensive service network, emphasizing the significance of their work from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
The Chief Minister lauded the vast postal system in India, with over 1.64 lakh post offices, majority in rural areas, and around 2.7 lakh Gramin Dak Sevaks. He recognized their contribution to financial assistance distribution and described them as crucial for national development.
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia’s efforts to elevate the status of Dak Sevaks were acknowledged by Chandrababu Naidu. He highlighted the personal touch and dedication of these workers and urged for the provision of electric bicycles to further support their duties.
The state of Andhra Pradesh, under a dual governance model, has witnessed significant progress in welfare and development, with a focus on digital infrastructure enhancement in rural areas. A partnership between the state and central governments aims to accelerate rural digital connectivity through the Amended BharatNet Project.
