Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu recently oversaw preparations for the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu event. The 12-day event is scheduled to take place from June 26, 2027, to July 7, 2027. The Chief Minister, during a high-level meeting at the Secretariat, discussed the arrangements for the event, which will be held in six districts along the Godavari river.
Arrangements are underway for the smooth conduct of the Pushkaralu in districts including Polavaram, Eluru, East and West Godavari, Ambedkar Konaseema, and Kakinada. The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead the Godavari Pushkaralu for the third time during his tenure. Plans include the construction of 139 new ghats in addition to the existing 234, with a total of 373 ghats planned along the riverbank, covering a length of 9,918 meters.
The event is expected to draw around 10 crore devotees from India and abroad who will come to take a holy dip in the Godavari. Emphasizing the importance of timely completion, the Chief Minister directed that the Polavaram project works be finished before the commencement of the Godavari Pushkaralu. Notable officials and ministers attended the review meeting to ensure proper coordination and planning for the event.
