Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed his support for the permanence of the “Work from Home” culture, stating its importance even within the government sector. He endorsed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s austerity measures amidst the West Asia conflict and urged the public to follow the eight-point agenda outlined by the Prime Minister. The Chief Minister announced plans for the state government to introduce its own action plan soon.
“Work from Home is now a reality,” highlighted CM Naidu, emphasizing the global shift towards remote functioning. He stressed the need for responsible actions by citizens and governments during the ongoing crisis, suggesting that reducing petrol and diesel consumption could lead to foreign exchange savings. Chandrababu Naidu also called for a reduction in wasteful spending, particularly in terms of extravagant travel practices.
Encouraging adherence to the Prime Minister’s recommendations, CM Naidu proposed cutting down on foreign travel and domestic tourism promotion. He underscored the importance of curbing gold purchases and promoting local green energy production to decrease reliance on foreign sources. The Chief Minister outlined plans for Amaravati’s development as a futuristic city and the transformation of Visakhapatnam into a global hub, alongside the establishment of a fighter jet manufacturing facility in the Rayalaseema region.
