Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has lauded the Union Budget 2026-27, describing it as ‘well-balanced’ and ‘forward-looking’. Naidu commended the budget presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, stating that it mirrors the populace’s desire for a rapidly growing economy. He extended congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Sitharaman, emphasizing the budget’s potential to propel India towards becoming a developed economy by 2047.
Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and a crucial ally in the BJP-led NDA government, expressed optimism that the budget would facilitate the nation’s journey towards self-reliance and bolster Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). He highlighted the budget’s emphasis on empowering women, farmers, and youth. Naidu anticipated that the budget’s provisions would enable the state government to address its priorities more effectively.
The Chief Minister underscored that the budget aligns with the state’s focus on enhancing the Ease of Doing Business initiative. He emphasized the government’s existing commitment to supporting MSMEs and the potential for further strengthening them. Naidu emphasized that the budget sets the course for progress and momentum, anticipating a positive impact on technological advancements, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and comprehensive reforms.
He also highlighted the budget’s emphasis on renewable energy and the vision for a unified national grid. Naidu praised the budget’s alignment with short, medium, and long-term objectives, foreseeing enhancements in living standards and quality of life. The state is poised to benefit from high-speed rail corridors connecting Hyderabad-Bengaluru and Hyderabad-Chennai, covering key regions like Tirupati and Amaravati.
