Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu highlighted the importance of universities as hubs of innovation during Andhra University’s centenary celebrations. He inaugurated the AU Factory and Network Centre costing Rs 64 crore and laid foundation stones for various projects totaling Rs 112 crore, including hostels and infrastructure. Naidu encouraged youth to focus on knowledge, innovation, and entrepreneurship to create job opportunities.
He expressed pride in Andhra University’s global connections, noting students from 58 countries studying there. Naidu praised the university’s legacy of producing distinguished leaders and announced a Rs 500 crore corpus fund to support its growth. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Vice President of India C.P. Radhakrishnan and former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu.
