Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu praised the Somnath temple as a symbol of India’s cultural heritage, highlighting the resilience and devotion of those who have protected and rebuilt it over time. Responding to PM Modi’s Mahapuja marking the temple’s 75th restoration anniversary, Naidu emphasized the temple’s role beyond worship, representing India’s rich civilization.
Naidu lauded the National Democratic Alliance government’s commitment to both development and heritage preservation under PM Modi’s leadership. He extended greetings on the occasion of the Somnath Amrut Mahotsav, emphasizing the importance of honoring India’s cultural and spiritual legacy alongside progress. Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also shared his reflections on the temple’s historical significance, citing verses from ‘Firdausi’ by ‘Kavi Kokila’ Gurram Jashuva.
Kalyan highlighted the resilience of India’s civilization, noting how the nation rebuilt the Somnath temple 17 times despite invasions. He credited Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for initiating the temple’s post-independence reconstruction, signaling a cultural revival. Kalyan emphasized the temple’s symbolic importance in India’s cultural renaissance, asserting a strong connection to the nation’s heritage and future direction.
