Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu met with Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong to discuss potential partnerships between Singapore and Andhra Pradesh. Naidu highlighted opportunities in semiconductors, AI, quantum technologies, R&D, university collaborations, urban governance, leadership development, logistics, and advanced manufacturing. Prime Minister Wong commended Andhra Pradesh’s progress in developing Amaravati as a modern capital city with top-notch infrastructure and institutions.
The leaders also explored cooperation in natural farming, aquaculture, food exports, healthcare, clean energy, green hydrogen, and green ammonia. Naidu invited Singaporean government-linked companies and industry leaders to participate in Amaravati’s growth and contribute to an innovative, sustainable, and economically prosperous future.
Additionally, Naidu engaged with Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan to strengthen connectivity and economic ties between Singapore and Andhra Pradesh. Discussions encompassed air services, upcoming airports, enhanced air connectivity, digital infrastructure, undersea internet connectivity, data center-led ecosystem development, and emerging commercial space sector opportunities.
Naidu also met with United Nations Habitat Executive Director Anaclaudia Rossbach to explore collaboration on sustainable urban development and climate resilience in Andhra Pradesh. The focus was on advancing Amaravati as a global model for sustainable urban development, integrating Sustainable Development Goals, fostering partnerships with international universities, and establishing a Centre of Excellence for Urban Affairs in Amaravati.
