Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has instructed officials to organize the Godavari Pushkaralu-2027 on a large scale to showcase the state’s cultural, historical, and spiritual heritage.
Naidu emphasized the significance of spiritual tourism, highlighting the presence of sacred temples and pilgrimage centers in the Godavari river basin. He stressed the event’s potential to boost economic activity in the region by promoting spiritual tourism.
The Chief Minister reviewed arrangements with the Ministers’ Committee and senior officials, emphasizing the need for all departments to collaborate to ensure the smooth execution of the prestigious event.
Naidu proposed developing an “Akhanda Godavari Corridor” from Dhavaleswaram to the Polavaram Project and instructed officials to ensure that the infrastructure developed for the Pushkaralu becomes a lasting asset for the Godavari basin region.
He directed officials to focus on managing highway and railway traffic, make special arrangements for the influx of pilgrims, and improve road connectivity through national and state highways.
Naidu also suggested exploring the establishment of tent cities and homestay facilities for pilgrims and tourists, incorporating recommendations from Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s field visit into the planning process.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to present a comprehensive action plan by June 24, marking the official countdown to the event, and emphasized the need for uninterrupted conduct of rituals to the Godavari and Krishna Rivers.
