Andhra Pradesh Minister Kollu Ravindra visited the family of Gelli Jayalakshmi, one of the three state residents who died in a boat accident in Vietnam. He assured the family that Jayalakshmi’s husband, Gelli Kishore, is receiving the best medical care in Vietnam.
Ravindra also spoke with family members in Vietnam, ensuring they were updated on the medical services being provided to Kishore. He informed them that Jayalakshmi’s body would be brought back to Vijayawada by Monday evening and handed over to the family on Tuesday. The minister pledged full government support to the grieving family, including assistance from Minister Nara Lokesh and the Indian Embassy.
Three individuals from Andhra Pradesh, including Jayalakshmi, lost their lives in a tragic boat accident near Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam. The victims were part of a leisure trip organized by a mobile phone company. The state government confirmed that all stranded Telugu tourists have safely reached Hanoi and are set to return to Hyderabad.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has overseen the support provided to the victims and directed officials to expedite the repatriation process. The Indian embassy in Vietnam is coordinating the transportation of the deceased Indians’ remains to Ho Chi Minh City before their repatriation to India.
